Note
Clients often ask me to not call them out by name. There’s a tricky line between demonstrating work and honoring confidentialty. That’s why you may not see names or logos.

Consultants

who share the practice of human-centered design

The $100,000 question

These aren’t your usual “swoop in/swoop out” corporate pundits. They show companies how to work better using the principles of design thinking. In that sense, they are teachers, storytellers, mentors, demonstrators, and master problem-solvers. The $100,000 question: should they use the word “consultant?” Another: can one pithy phrase capture all that?

The answer

This is a case where distillation is not needed as much as elaboration. Consulting, in particular, has this challenge: you can easily boil it down to, “We solve problems,” but soon as you do audiences look at you like the RCA dog and ask, “Yes, and?” Clear and crisp exposition helps explain.

We call it awakening the human spirit . It happens by deepening the connections within ourselves and between each other. Once you know how to put the principles design thinking to work, a-ha moments happen. It's addicting, in a great way. And you know how to make it happen again and again. We don't just show you how to get there. You'd forget. Hell, we'd forget. You learn by actually doing it. That's why we work with one person at a time, one team at a time, one organization at a time.
